Meet the Team That Is Ready to Serve You
Meet the team that makes our organization the one to trust for all of your product development and test engineering needs. As a family-owned-and-operated company, we are attentive to your needs and focused on your satisfaction. Start a conversation with our engineers and get to know Bill and Bert Horner.
Prior to founding TTCI in 1980, Bill Horner advanced through 20 years in senior ATE and quality management positions at major corporations such as GenRad, Bendix, Westinghouse, Plantronics, and Hydranautics.
Mr. Horner holds a B.S. Degree in Engineering, Physics & Computer Science from Loyola College and a diploma from Baltimore Technical Institute in Electronics, Broadcast Engineering, and Industrial Electronics. He also proudly served as a member of the United States Army in the special Nike Hercules Fire Control Unit. As an active participant in the ATE community, Bill Horner regularly presents papers and co-sponsors events at major ATE seminars and user group meetings.
In his spare time, Bill is an avid boater. He owns a 32' Larson Sports Cruiser. Running a business sometimes makes taking a vacation difficult, but when the opportunity arises Bill can be seen cruising along the Chesapeake Bay, taking trips to Baltimore's beautiful Inner Harbor or mini-vacations to the tranquil shores of Maryland's Ocean City resort.
Most of his friends at the Baltimore Yacht Club call our founder “Capt’n Bill.” He has often been known to say that the yacht club is a great place to go and relax. Bill also was an officer of the Goose Harbor Yacht Club for four years, and Commodore at "the Goose" in 1999. As such, he is an active member of the Chesapeake Commodores Club.
Bert Horner has been the Vice President of Engineering Support for The Test Connection Inc. Since 1986, Bert has worked in various technical and engineering support positions and he looks forward to serving your needs.
In the year 2000, our founder Bill Horner began to understand that he needed a person in sales that would always look out for the best interests of the company when attracting new customers and clients. This person needed to focus on giving the customer what they wanted, including follow-up calls and clear sales quotes. That person was Bert Horner, and he handles sales and project management for our group to this day. This combination of front-end solicitation and project oversight allows
Throughout his career at TTCI, Bert has authored a number of technical articles on topics related to board testing. When not working, Bert enjoys spending time with his family and playing sports like softball and ice hockey.
Our team has more than 100 years of experience in test engineering. The team tackles the challenges involved with testing daily in a collaborative fashion. Our open floor plan encourages our engineers to discuss jobs, challenges, and tips. Two heads (or three or four) are better than one is not just a saying; it is a work style here at TTCI. From project auditing, quoting, planning, development, debugging and quality control, we work together to bring you, the customer, the best product possible.
